About Patrick

Occupation: Educator/Business Owner/Media Host
As a 30-year resident of Foster City, I care passionately about our community. And I am well-prepared to address issues important to you: COVID-19, traffic, housing, levee plan, rec center project, quality of life and others.
With the open seats on the Nov. 3, 2020 ballot, I am seeking a seat on the City Council of Foster City to address these issues.
Over past years, I’ve attended City Council meetings and listened as our Council wrestled with these issues. I served 10 years on Parks & Rec Committee, including as Chair. I’ve been a member of Chamber of Commerce, and Lion’s Club, including as President. This community service experience provides me with a unique perspective on breadth and depth of issues and demonstrates commitment to public service.
The issues we face are complex. Experience is crucial. Issues such as transportation and housing are problems for Foster City but also for surrounding communities. As host of “Podcast by the Bay,” I’ve interviewed a wealth of Peninsula mayors, State Senators, and State Assemblymembers gaining insights into these issues and others.
I understand civility and collaboration with Council members is of paramount importance. I have the energy, persistence, and temperament to achieve workable solutions. Respectfully, I ask for your vote.
Thanks again,
Patrick J. Sullivan
