Foster City Community Activist Patrick J. Sullivan Qualifies as Candidate for City Council

 

Longtime Foster City resident and community activist, Patrick J. Sullivan has announced that he is running for Foster City Council as part of the recall measure included in the March 2020 Presidential Primary election.

 

Sullivan is a longtime and well-known community activist. He served for 10 years on Parks & Rec Committee, including as Chair. Patrick has also been a member of Chamber of Commerce, and Lion’s Club, including as President 2017 – 2018. For many years, he has attended City Council meetings in person as a private citizen, listening and gaining insights as the Council has wrestled with tough issues including: traffic, housing, the levee plan, rec center project and quality of life.  As host of the popular “Podcast by the Bay,” Patrick has interviewed 16 Peninsula mayors, gaining insights into issues relevant to Foster City and surrounding communities. As an educator for over 10 years, Patrick also has served the community teaching students with special needs.

 

Patrick is passionate about the Foster City community; and he is known for his work ethic, energy and temperament. “Through my years of service as a community activist, I understand the breadth and depth of the complex issues facing the council and I will be able to hit the ground running to help make decisions in the best interest of the community. I will work collaboratively and in a civil manner with council members and the public. I will always put “Foster City First” as a council member.
